He was predeceased by: his parents, James Yantis Davis and Bessie Oline Davis (Clinton); his wife Loreta Cheryl Fletcher; his daughter Eyvette Renee "Vettie" Davis; and his brother Melvin Ray Davis.
He is survived by: his grandson Jake Pennock; and his cousin Sharon Gilkey. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren; a sister.
