It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elfa Lorene Hopkins of California, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Greenberry West and Addie Pearl West; her husband Taylor; and her grandchildren, Chad Hopkins and Jennifer Scott.

She is survived by: her sons, Willis Hopkins, Dennis Hopkins (Tillie) and Douglas Hopkins (Karen). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In honor of Lorene's memory and her courageous battle with Alzheimer's, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name, in lieu of flowers.
