He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Benton Shields and Brooksie Colley Shields; his wife Nana Margaret Shields; his son Thomas Lee "Tommy" Shields; and his siblings, Ruth Jobe, Merle Shields and Dale Shields.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelli Dawn Stephens; and his sister Linda Luella Rudeseal. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge 183.
