He is survived by: his children, Angie Bryant (Christopher) of California, MO and Donnie Mertens (Sabra) of California, MO; and his siblings, Robert Mertens of Tipton, Everett Mertens of California, MO, Dorothy Braun of Osage Bend, MO, Jane Bishop of California, MO, Pat Porter of California, MO and Betty Elliott of Clarksburg, MO. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
