He was predeceased by : his parents, Hubert Dearing and Dortha Austella Hoback (Fahrni). He is survived by : his wife Betsy Allen; his son Bob Hoback (Miranda) of California; his stepchildren, Debbie Zucca, Tina Donohue (Mike), Jeff Hanes (Jill) and Mark Hanes; his grandchildren, Emma Hoback, Lydia Hoback and Kloe Hoback; his stepgrandchildren, Tabitha, Charlie, Kari, Ben, Colleen, Katie, Spencer, Tucker, Donavin and Matayah; his siblings, Marylin Durk and Jim Hoback (Irene); his sisters-in-law, Vicki Hoback and Beverly Perrin; and his siblings, Dennis Hoback, Betty Rose Bickel and Phillis Walters.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the High Point Baptist Church (40314 Church Rd, California, MO 65018). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to R. H. Denker Scholarship Fund, High Point Cemetery Association or to High Point Baptist Church.
