RoVera Forbis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of RoVera Forbis of California, Missouri, who passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though RoVera may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Debo and Leota Debo (Malicoat); her husband Donald Forbis; and her son Paul Forbis. She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Yates (Douglas) of Mexico, MO, Cindy Renn (Paul) of Jefferson City, MO and John Forbis (Patricia) of Florence, MO. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services (100 S Oak St, California, MO 65018). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wellsville Cemetery (300 Southeast St, Wellsville, MO 63384).
