With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Ann Backhus of California, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on April 22, 2024 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon Ann Backhus to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard Stansbery and Virginia Stansbery; and her husband Richard Backhus. She is survived by : her sons, Richard "Paul" Backhus, Troy Backhus (Shannon) of Liberty and Roy Backhus; her brother Willard Stansbery of Fort Worth Texas; her grandchildren, Matthew Backhus, Melinda Backhus, Kaleb Backhus, Cody Backhus, Caleb Alberts, Dakota Williams, Haley Backhus and Hannah Backhus; and her great grandchildren, Rylynne Backhus, Joslynne Backhus and Roman Beck. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews she loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home (6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
