He was predeceased by: his parents, David M. Jones and Marie E. Jones (Vetter); and his siblings, Marion Jones and Robert Jones. He is survived by: his wife Diedra Volkart; his stepsons, Damon Volkart of Columbia, MO and Dustin Volkart; his sister Betty Markway; his nephew Robert; and his niece Katie of Jefferson City.
