With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verneta F. Smith of California, Missouri, born in Camden Point, Missouri, who passed away on February 4, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alvin and Verneta Ruth Ballard; her husband Edgar Louis Smith; and her siblings, Joyce Veuleman (Larry), Tom Ballard (Ann), Everett Ballard and Dwight Ballard (Doris).
She is survived by: her children, Ken McAlpin (Sherri), Linda Hill (Jerry), Mike Smith (Geri), Julie Cosentino (John) and Diane Smith; and her grandchildren, Jessica Arnson (Alan), Kyle McAlpin (Jade), Sarah Rene, Justin Friedl (Jenifer), John Cosentino (Kaela), Danten Cosentino and James Cosentino. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, her family as well as her many friends.
