He is survived by: his parents, Edward Cope and Mary Cope (Pagonis); his wife Debbie Cope; his sons, David Cope of Aurora, Illinois, Bryan Cope of Aurora, Illinois and Chris Cope (Deanna) of Aurora, Illinois; his grandchildren, Harper, Olivia, Kennedy, Abraham and Remington; his brothers, Steven Cope (Debbie) of Oswego, Michael Cope (Lisa) of Oswego and Terry Cope of Forest, Illinois; and his half-sister Kathy Mitchum of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Dogwood Animal Shelter in Camdenton, Missouri.
