He is survived by: his wife Janet K. Jungels; his children, James "Jay" Joseph Jungels, Jr. of Camdenton and Marianne Janelle Jungels-Norris (Joel Dean Jungels); and his sister Ann Miller (Ron) of Grand Island. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the church or mailed to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri 65020.
