As we bid Susan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Susan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carna Ihnen (Hillig) and Eckhart Ihnen. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Caitlin Cone and Hunter Heimbeaugh.
In honor of Susan's memory, the family encourages donations to your local animal shelter/sanctuary or any of the wonderful global organizations working to save and rehabilitate our furry or feathered friends — and, in true Sue fashion, asks everyone to also honor her by helping the turtles safely cross the road, taking time to listen to squirrels at play, feeding the birds in the winter, and always being kind to the opossums.
