He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Neal and Doris June Edwards (Smith); his wife Phyllis Murphy; his brother Marvin; and his grandsons, Jeffrey Oitker and Christopher Earley.
He is survived by: his children, Alicia Earley (Pat) of Chillicothe, MO, Tammy Oitker (Richard) of Cameron, MO and Terry Edwards (Jeanette) of Cameron, MO; and his sister Shirly Boston Otis of Blue Springs, MO. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Cameron Memory Gardens (Old Hwy 36, Cameron, MO 64429).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Cameron American Legion Elmer Ellis Post 33, or any veterans organizations of your choice.
