He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Heldenbrand and Ada Heldenbrand (Wilkinson); his wife Mary Lou; his brother Orval; his sister-in-law Dortha Heldenbrand; his sister Betty Heldenbrand; and his niece Angela Heldenbrand.

He is survived by : his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Jane Heldenbrand; his nephews, Steve (Debra Heldenbrand), Brian (Amy Heldenbrand), Lonnie (Sharon Heldenbrand) and Stan (Pamela Heldenbrand); his niece Deanna (Dennis McCurdy); and his brother-in-law James Hughes.
