He was predeceased by: his parent Eddie Maddox; his spouse Elwanda Maddox; his mother Pearl Maddox (Rainwater); his wife Wanda; his siblings, Pauline Reedy, Claudine Maddox-Nelson and Ronnie Maddox; his children, Karen Dohack and Roy "Buck" Stroud; and his grandchildren, James and Jerry Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Parker of Saint Peters, MO, Delores Clark (David) of Metropolis, IL, Pam Stroud of Malden, MO, Clark Maddox (Violet) of East Carondelet, IL, Daniel Stroud (Mary) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Robert Stroud of Wappapello, MO. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 Iron Bridge Rd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery (17357 Stars and Stripes Way, Bloomfield, MO 63825).
