She was predeceased by : her grandmother Nancy Gaus; and her great-grandparents, Lee, Betty Ott and Robert Gaus. She is survived by : her parents, Christopher Gaus (Lindsay) of Hamilton and Kristy Wear (Mike Edwards) of Canton; her brothers, James Silman of Quincy and Caleb Gaus of Hamilton; her grandparents, Jenice Ott of Keokuk, Elmer Ott of Canton, Debra Sparks of Callao and Phillip Gaus of Kahoka; her stepgrandfather Jim Thompson (Mary) of Hamilton; her great-grandparents, John Reimers (Mary) of Branson, Juanita Shelton (Jim) of Quincy, Patrick Whitley (Patsy) of Polo, Wiley Sparks (Tracy) of Emmerson and Judith Wollbrink (Meb) of Quincy; and her uncle Joe Reimers. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
