Dusty Lynn Smeltser Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dusty Lynn Smeltser of Canton, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Alfred Maple, Merle Hunsaker and Donald Shepard. She is survived by: her parents, Judy Ann Maple Shepard of Payson and Donald Shepard; her children, Ashley Gallaher (Andy) of Coatsburg, IL, Austin Jansen (Gracie Hord) of Nashville, TN and Saige Smeltser of Kahoka, MO; her grandchildren, Owen Gallaher and Colt Gallaher; her brother Donnie Shepard (Shawna) of Quincy; and her grandmothers, Ada Hunsaker of Quincy and Jan Maple of Liberty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home (1535 State St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
