He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertrum Stevenson and Frieda Stevenson; his grandson Tyler Stevenson; and his sister-in-law Patricia Stevenson. He is survived by: his wife Waneta; his brother Cecil; his children, Joe Stevenson (Beckie) of Boynton Beach, FL and Joni Frevert (Randy) of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Kyle Frevert (Melissa) of Springfield, Ryan Frevert (Aimee) of Meridianville, AL, Lexi Stevenson of Deerfield Beach, FL and Tori Stevenson of Boynton Beach, FL; his great grandchildren, Hayden and Heath Frevert of Meridianville; and his nephew Dirk Stevenson (Beth) of Hinesville, GA..

The last time I saw him he told us we could just call him Joe no way we said he was always coach. So sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace and coach the basketball in heaven.
