He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Essary and Lucille Essary (Jenkins); and his siblings, Donnie Ray Essary, Darrell Essary, Troy Essary, Lloyd Essary and Carolyn Curbow.

He is survived by: his children, Ashley Essary of Cape Fair, MO, Ryan Essary of Marionville, MO, Marci Noll of Aurora, MO and LeeAnn Chastain of Galena, MO; and his siblings, Larry Essary of San Diego, CA, Jerry Essary of Crane, MO, Gayle Stringer of Mt Vernon, MO and Anita Leyba of McCune, KS. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
