She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Edward and Mary Lou Newman (Wheeler); her husband Harold William Fortner; her sons, Danny Fortner and Richard Fortner; and her grandson Michael Asher.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Asher and Teresa McAdoo (Jason); her daughter-in-law Melody Carr-Fortner; her grandchildren, Matthew Asher (Brittany), Seth Fortner, Makayla McAdoo and Savanna McAdoo; her great grandchild Josie Asher; and her siblings, John Newman, Don Newman, Freck Newman, Earlene Harber and Carol Cook. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
