She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Spicer and John Spicer; her siblings, Inez Taylor, Evelyn Jenkins (Dolly), Mary Spicer, Leonard Spicer (Sam), Edward Spicer and John Spicer; her son Nathaniel Banks; and her grandchildren, Sharon Smith Meads, Nathaniel Banks, Herbert Banks and James Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Alice Mason and Gina Eanes (Raullo); her nieces, Pam Jenkins and Donna Jenkins (Sue Baby); her brother Robert Spicer Sr.; and her children, Carolyn Smith, Phyllis Sides, Gwendolyn St. Julian (Rick Lucas), David Sides, Paul Banks, Estelena Cooksey (Elbert) and Joyce Givens (Albert). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
