With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred LaVern Mason of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on April 26, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Alfred LaVern shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Alfred LaVern farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred B. Mason and Vera Mason (Wright). He is survived by: his children, Elaine Priest of Jackson, MO, Harold L. Mason (Carolyn) of Rossville, GA, Craig A. Mason (Joyce) of St. Peters, MO and Carl A. Mason (Lisa) of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Masonic Home in Columbia, MO; the American Cancer Society; and the American Diabetes Association.
