She was predeceased by: her parents, John Adam and Dessie M. Welker Newell; and her siblings, Adam Newell (Bertha), Terry Newell, Alice Kester (John) and Pauline Kimbel (Bennie).
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Koehler (Keith Ancell) of Jackson, Robert L. Poe of Orlando and Penny Dowd (Mark) of Glen Allen, Missouri; her grandchildren, Zachary Thrower (Courtney), Tasha Ferrell and Kent Dowd; her siblings, Charles Newell, Carl Newell (Janice), Patsy Pulliam, Verdell Newell (Marie), Leslie Newell (Laverne), Johnny Newell (Cheryl), Randy Newell (Joyce), Gene Newell (Betty) and Karen Eakers (Scott); and her sister-in-law Frances Beal (Gary). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Greater Vision Pentecostal Church in Chaffee, Missouri.
