She was predeceased by: her mothers, Georgia L. Meatheany and Addie Meatheany; her son James W. McCaig; and her sister Sharon L. Hale. She is survived by: her children, Betty Crenshaw (Mike) of Jackson, MO, Bobby McCaig-Curnutt of Indianapolis, IN, John McCaig of Cape Girardeau, MO, Maggie McCaig-Lee (John Lee) of Memphis, TN and Pauline Keesee (Brandon) of Huntington, WV; and her brother Lawrence Meatheany of Cape Girardeau, MO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crain Funeral Home - Cape Girardeau (829 North West End Boulevard, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the Fairmount Cemetery (835 Caruthers Ave, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Crain Funeral Home to help offset expenses.
