He is survived by : his wife Carole Lee Eberhart; his children, John Cozean (Nicole) of Sikeston, Charles Cozean, III of Loveland, Colorado and Laura DeBrock (Bart) of Vincennes, Indiana; his siblings, Jon Dennis Cozean of Farmington, Missouri, Nancy Jacob and Josephine Styron (Harry); and his grandchildren, Jack Cozean of Sikeston, Erica Bunker of Washington, DC, Dr. William DeBrock of Chapel Hill and Victoria DeBrock of Indianapolis, Indiana..

Bill and Betty DeBrock wrote a sympathy message

“we extend our deepest sympathy to Dr Cozean's wife Carole, his children and Grandchildren. He was our eye doctor until he retired . THE BEST ! He was always so kind to us, his daughter is our daughter in law . We and our Grandchildren enjoyed fishing in his lake, which he so kindly shared for many years. Now he is at peace , Eternal rest grant unto him and let perpetual light shine on him”
