She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lee Ward and Eleanor Ward; and her sister Diana Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Katilya Ward-Pruitt (Terry) of Nashville, TN, Jamirraha Ward of Cape Girardeau and Bertrell Bridges Jr. of Kansas City; her grandchildren, Zy'Carion, Za'Nahla, Zai'Ja Ward, Zachariah Pruitt of Nashville and Armoniye Bridges of Chicago; her stepmother Dorothy Stewart of Chicago; her brothers, Leo, Emmanuel Williams and Timothy Richardson of Chicago; her brother-in-law Reggie Stewart; her sister Leticia Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Sandra Curry and Deborah of Chicago. She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (835 Beaudean Ln, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
