He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Young and Regina Christiansen Bennett; and his siblings, Alan Bennett, Tim Bennett and Diana Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Bennett of Cape Girardeau; his children, Eric Bennett (Andrea) of Cape Girardeau, Justin McMullen of Cape Girardeau and Cameron Bennett of Cape Girardeau; his brother Tom Bennett (Susan) of Greenfield, Indiana; his grandchildren, Leah Bennett, Luke Bennett, Tyler Bennett and Piper Sue Schermer; his aunt Marilyn Christiansen of New Albany, Indiana; and his former wife Sharon Bennett of Cape Girardeau.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701).
