He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempsey Barsh and Martha Foster Barsh Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Michael Barsh (Rhonda) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Michelle Biggerstaff (Tim) of Oran, Missouri; his sister Teena Boettjer of Jackson; his grandchildren, Douglas Barsh (Danielle) of Cape Girardeau, Jacob Biggerstaff (Tesla) of Chaffee, Hunter Biggerstaff of Cape Girardeau, Marcus Biggerstaff of Puxico, Madison Barsh of Cape Girardeau and Christopher Duck of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and his close friend Debbie Lix. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
