She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Robert Cook; her parents, Ralph Wilkes and Bernice Wilkes; her brothers, Quentin Wilkes and Mayo Wilkes; her sister-in-law Judy Wilkes; and her close friend Dr. Charles Clark.
She is survived by: her brothers, Milo Wilkes and Lyle Wilkes (Barb); her sisters-in-law, Joanne Wilkes, Margaret Cook and Judith Ripon; her children, Rolland Cook (Denise) of Wytheville, Virginia, Julene Thomas (Edward) of Kokomo and Lorene Crites (Linard) of Sedgewickville, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Phillip Lance Cook, Tonia Kitts (Chris), Elizabeth Ponce (Julio), Andrew Thomas (Starlet), Kayla Viars (Chris) and Tyler Heafner. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 31st 2025 at the Cornerstone Methodist Church (308 Woodland Ave, Riceville, IA 50466).
