It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene Schuessler of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Altenburg, Missouri, who passed away on April 18, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhardt Schuessler and Nelda Heartling Schuessler; his sister Darlene Franke; his sister-in-law Betty Schuessler; and his son-in-law John Niederkorn.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Schuessler (Penny), DeBorah Gross (Chris), Dawn Altenthal (Tim) and Deanna Niederkorn; his brother Richard Schuessler (Marge); and his grandchildren, Dustin Gross (Kendra), Cassie Myers (Ed), Kyle Schuessler (Tina), Courtney Palish (Trey), Caleb Niederkorn (Natalie), Katie Mitchell (Rob), Seth Niederkorn (Karlee Beggs), Tyler Altenthal, Jacob Ressel (Mistie) and Megan Sample (Ben). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
