He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice E. Pry and Ella Jane Abernathy Pry; his brother Dean Pry; and his great grandchild Avery Gowen. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Pry of Cape Girardeau; his children, Sherry McAlister (Travis) of Glen Allen and Brent Pry (Jessica) of Cape Girardeau; his stepsons, Danny Swofford (Jennifer) of Jackson and Adam Swofford (April) of Shawneetown; his grandchildren, Charles McAlister (Brittany), Stephanie Gowen (Matthew), Hunter McAlister (Jeana), Macey Pry, Jillian Pry, Ariona Batiste, Elijah Batiste, Judah Batiste, Danny Swofford, Sadie Swofford (Dalton Manche), Johnny Swofford, Austin Swofford and Dalton Swofford; his great grandchildren, Kori, Lydia McAlister, Liam, Addilynn Gowen and Levi Swofford; and his siblings, Dewey Pry (Janet) of Dexter, Velva Latham (John) of Cape Girardeau, James Pry (Debbie) of Chapel Hill and Melba Hancock (Keith) of Puxico.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McCombs Funeral Home & Cremation Center (640 W Independence St, Jackson, MO 63755). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (18724 Co Rd 260, Bloomfield, MO 63825).
