He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilary A Schmittzehe and Philomene "Minnie" B Jarosik Schmittzehe; and his siblings, Hilary, Don Schmittzehe, Anna Marie Buelow and Dorothy Low.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kirn; his sons, Steve Schmittzehe (Debbie) of Cape Girardeau and Thomas Schmittzehe (Lisa) of Patton; his grandchildren, Kimberly Melton (Matthew) of O'Fallon, Missouri, Ashley Perry (Don), Megan Schmittzehe, Samuel Schmittzehe (Leah), Lydia, Abigail Melton and Brian Bollinger (Kim); his great grandchildren, Ava, Wyatt, Maddie Perry, Adyson, Avagayle and Kamdon Bollinger; and his sister Mary Orf of St Louis.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Mary's Cathedral Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
