Jo Donnelly Obituary
We announce the death of Jo Donnelly of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 98. Jo will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar E. Schmidt and Norma W. Schmidt (Swinney); her husband David H. Donnelly; and her sister Rebecca Lou Schmidt. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Billmeyer (Craig) of Cape Girardeau and Sarah Crenshaw of Liberty, Missouri; her grandchildren, David Crenshaw (Molly), Andrew Billmeyer, Rachel Shirk (Kyle) and Allie Gilmore (Reed); and her great grandchildren, William Crenshaw, Craig Crenshaw, Reagan Shirk, Madeleine Shirk and Donnelly Jo Gilmore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Freeman Mortuary (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Compassus Hospice, 600 Monroe St., Jefferson City, MO 65101 or First United Methodist Church, 201 Monroe St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
