It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Paul Heisserer (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glennon Heisserer (Bud) and Frances Heisserer. He is survived by: his wife Jerrie Gerlach of Cape Girardeau; his children, Jed Heisserer of Cape Girardeau, Tess Heisserer Barringer (Webb) of Chattanooga, Tenessee of Cape Girardeau, Merritt Keys (Gabe) of Cape Girardeau, Erin Holzum (Brandon) of Cape Girardeau and Sam Gerlach of Denver, Colorado; and his siblings, David (Patricia), Michael, Mark, Dan (Tanya), Paula (Dennis) and Becky Heisserer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Order of the Most Holy Trinity and of the Captives, P.O. Box 1828, Sykesville, MD 21784-1820 or St. Louis Children's Hospital, PO Box 955423, St. Louis, MO 63195-5423.
