He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Kirchdoerfer and Mary Heuring Kirchdoerfer; his siblings, Anton Kirchdoerfer, Stella Ostendorf and Marie James; his brothers-in-law, Fred Ostendorf, Alvin Frank and Robert James; and his friend Rev. Raymond Kunkel.
He is survived by: his significant other Mildred; his children, Carl Kirchdoerfer of Cape Girardeau, Edward Kirchdoerfer (Amy) of Cape Girardeau, Glenda Hampton (Kendall) of Sikeston and Julie Eftink (Keith) of Chaffee; his grandchildren, Tricia Walther (Josh), Tyler Kirchdoerfer (Logan), Nathan Hampton, Alex Eftink (Drew), Katie Hampton, Clayton Kirchdoerfer and Zach Eftink; his great grandchildren, Claire, Caleb, Willow and Wesley; and his sister Adella Frank.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Cathedral (615 William St, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the St. Mary Cemetery Association.
