He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Godfrey and Ahleen Godfrey (Bonds); his siblings, Delores Williams, Harlan "Junior" Godfrey and Carl Godfrey; and his niece Beth Godfrey.
He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Godfrey of Cape Girardeau; his daughters, Lori Godfrey of Cape Girardeau and Wendy Wiseman (David) of Waynesville, Missouri; his granddaughter Sarah Wiseman of St. Petersburg, Florida.; and his sister Margie Elam. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and honorary grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the St. Francis Hospice program, whose compassionate support brought comfort to Lawrence and his family in his final days.
