We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, at the age of 70, Larry J. Scowden of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Kennett, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry J. Scowden to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Hal Scowden and Dorothy Mae Davis Scowden. He is survived by : his wife Lura Scowden of Cape Girardeau; his daughter Katie Smith (Blake) of Cape Girardeau; his sister Karen Hagan (Pat) of Cape Girardeau; his siblings-in-law, Sue Scheffer (Martin), Gail Meyer and Gary Bess; his niece Shannon Hagan; his nephews, Sean Hagan (Sarah), Steven Meyer and Chris Brooks; his great-niece Sophie; and his great-nephews, Colin and Liam.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
