He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley B. Smith and Clemma Hughey Smith; and his siblings, Claud R. Smith (Merle), Walter E. Smith (Mary Lee), Charles "Hughey" Smith (Maxine), Dorothy Ward (Carlos) and Joseph D. Smith (Eva).
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Smith of Cape Girardeau; Paul Seay (Becca), Ralph Seay (Connie) and Fran Lovell (Allen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
