The memory of Laura R. Simmons Voss of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 36, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Phyllis Simmons, Robert and Rosemary Hendrix. She is survived by: her parents, Michael Anthony and Lisa Marie Hendrix Simmons; her siblings, Ryan Simmons (Julianna) of Cape Girardeau and Caitlin Taylor (Brent) of Jackson; her grandfather Arnold Simmons of Cape Girardeau; and her nieces, Frankie, Ellie and Fiona Taylor. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A rosary will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Cathedral (615 William St, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703).
Memorial contributions may be given to Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry or LifeHouse in Cape Girardeau.
