She was predeceased by: her parents, Loa Huskey and Lillian Marie Huskey; her former spouses, Johnie T. Whitaker of Chaffee and Eugene Busch; her spouse Jerry Bernard Sample; her children, Richard Ray Whitaker and Nancy Ann DePauw; and her grandson Larry Keith Childers.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Young and Linda Cunningham (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Terry Childers (Bobbie Jo), Garry Childers, Jack Cunningham (Joyce), Teresa Lusk (Danny), Richard Ray Whitaker Jr., Justin Vinson, Tara DePauw and Charlie DePauw; her stepgrandchildren, Cindy Ignacio and Gary Tracy; and her niece Shirley H. Elledge. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren.
