It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Spell of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Spell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Welch and Edna Zimmerman Welch; her daughter Jennifer Spell Dowdy; and her sister Donna Sue May. She is survived by: her daughters, Stacy Jansen (Jim) of Brentwood, Chris Hulsey (David) of Eureka and Beth Friedrich (Scott) of Perkins, Missouri; her sibling's children, Sara Sprouse (Matt), Alecia Fischer, Carrie Pack (Allen) and Keith Fischer (Jill); her grandchildren, Nick Jansen (Katie), Carly Jansen, Jon Blank (Mila), Adam Hulsey, Ellen Hulsey, Hanna Hulsey Nettesheim (Jay), Paige Hulsey (Thomas), Will Friedrich (Claudia), Kyle Friedrich and Stephen Dowdy (Noah); and her great grandchildren, Alleyson, Loralie Hulsey, Logan Blank, Brooklyn, Asher Nettesheim, Ryker Friedrich and Freya Jansen. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Maple United Methodist Church.
