He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey "Dick" Abney and Verla Miner Abney; and his sister-in-law Debby Abney. He is survived by: his daughter Tara Smith (Jared) of Potosi, Missouri; his grandchildren, Rylie Jade Smith and Austin Smith; and his siblings, Vickie Mungle (Mark) of Jackson, Danny Abney (late Debby) of Burfordville and Lanny Abney (Roberta Forslund) of Viburnum, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
