Though Rita may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pinger and Julia Pinger (Decker); her former husband Henry L. Dobbertien; and her husband Robert T. Lucas. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Vollink (Dennis), Greg Dobbertien, Chris Dobbertien, Ann Holmes (Jim), Tom Dobbertien (Rhonda) and Monica Johnson (Todd). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions may be made to Birthright of Cape Girardeau and/or the building fund at St. Mary Cathedral.
