He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Komorech and Helen Komorech; and his brothers, Richard (Cory), James (Jimmy) and Roger Komorech.
He is survived by: his wife Donna L. Davis Nelson; his children, Christopher Allan Komorech (Heidi) of Maryville, MO, Matthew Jacob Komorech of Winder, GA and Rebecca Marie Swoboda (Elliott) of Cape Girardeau, MO; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Komorech of St. Louis, MO, Rita Komorech of Springfield, IL, Debbie Komorech and Rodney Davis; his mother-in-law Virginia Davis; his grandchildren, Kyannah, Elijah, Lucas, Aaron, Mattalyn Komorech, Aliyah, Ellianna, Amareese, Eliza and Arlee Jean Swoboda; and his great grandchild Emma Lou Ivy Dodson. He is also survived by one great-grandchild due in September; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Southeast Missouri State University Foundation Student Emergency Fund. Checks should be made payable to Southeast Missouri State University Foundation with Student Emergency Fund noted in the memo line.
