He was predeceased by: his mother Dolly Wren Mathis; and his brother Jerry Rice. He is survived by: his wife Jean Ann Rice of Cape Girardeau; his children, Christopher Rice (Laura) of Kearney, Missouri and Regina Todd (Jay) of Saint Louis, Missouri; and his siblings, Paul Rice of Greensboro, Bob Rice (Rose) of Poplar Bluff, Jim Rice (Karee) of Annapolis, Missouri, Trudy Everage of Lima, Georgia Mosley (Gary) of Lima, Sharon Henning (Mark) of Lima, Paula Smith (Darrell) of Inman and Vanessa Jordan (Doug) of Benton, Kentucky. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
