He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Martin and Alberta Meystedt Fischer. He is survived by: his wife Edna Ruth Fischer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and his children, Ronnie Fischer (Karen) of Farmersville, Tom Fischer (Diane) of St. Louis, Missouri and Beth Chapman (Alan) of Acworth, Georgia. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
