She is survived by: her husband Carl Prost of Cape Girardeau; her sons, Rick C. Prost (Rebecca) of Cape Girardeau and Robert Prost (Diane) of Chesterfield, Missouri; her brothers, Robert Dietrich (Linda) of Florissant, Missouri and Roger Dietrich of Florissant, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jennifer Austin (Ryan) of Cape Girardeau, Jeff Prost (Rachel) of Saint Louis, Brian Prost (Cristah) of Bethesda, David Prost of New York and Luke Prost of Nashville; and her great grandchildren, Lily Mohundro, Josie Austin, Ava Austin of Cape Girardeau and Lucas Prost of Saint Louis.

Memorial contributions may be given to Saint Francis Hospice.

“I was thinking about Stella tonight and remembering what a good babysitter she was for me. So I searched for her name and I was very sad to find her obituary. I haven’t seen her for many many years, Roger or Sonny. Their mother was a wonderful woman and I will never forget what great neighbors they were. My sympathy to her family on her loss I am sure that you miss her. I have always thought of her often and wish that I would’ve looked her up. I was the flower girl in their wedding.”
