William leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. William’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew William will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Bice Pate and Oscar Pate; and his sister Donna Lynn. He is survived by: his wife Conna Bea Turnipseed; his children, Brian and Paula (Tim); and his grandsons, Neal and Payten.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Brown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Jackson or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Bill's honor.
