He was predeceased by: his parents, George Herman Ellis and Lina Lee Ellis (Hansford); his siblings, Larry Ellis, Lina Tennis and Mary Elizabeth Ellis; his brothers-in-law, Danny Tennis and Wayne Dunn; his grandson-in-law Tim Forst; and his great grandchild Justin Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Ellis (Thornbrugh); his sons, Jace Ellis (Sheila) of Carthage, MO, Jim Ellis (Cammy) of Carl Junction and Jack Ellis (Melissa) of Reeds Spring, MO.; his grandchildren, Jace Ellis, Jr. (Liz) of Carthage, Jessy Rodgers (Darron) of Knob Noster, MO, Katy Baldwin of Joplin, Jimmy Ellis (Megan) of Bristo, OK, Taylor Cook (Rik) of Springfield, MO, William Ellis (Rebekah) of Reeds Spring, MO and Delainey Ellis of Reeds Spring, MO; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Tripp, Jaxon, Josette, Charlie, Forrest, Jacie and Trey; and his siblings, Herman Ellis (Alice) of Joplin, Jay Ellis (Sharon) of Webb City, Joyce Dunn of Carl Junction and Betty Sue Smith of Joplin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parker Mortuary Chapel (1502 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Three Rivers Hospice, 631 N Spring Park Blvd, Mt Vernon, MO 65712.
