She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Cates and Cinda Cates. She is survived by: her husband Gary Hovater; her daughters, Nicole Hanks (Richard) of Kansas City and Whittney Kessler (Janelle) of Wichita; her grandchildren, Remington, Willow Sullivan and Kabe Kessler; and her brothers, Jeff Nachbor and Justin Nachbor.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (101 N Main St, Carl Junction, MO 64834).
